Lookout! Chattanooga Leads Minors In Attendance on a Quiet Night

It was a quiet night in the minors on Monday, with just 10 games on the slate coming only in the Southern and Florida State leagues as the major league draft took center stage at the MLB Network studios in New Jersey. Rather than wash our hands of the evening, let’s take a look at how teams these 11 teams fared at the gate in their brief moment in the spotlight.

Minor League Attendance for June 4

The Chattanooga Lookouts topped the minors in attendance last night with a strong showing for a Monday evening, drawing 4,533 to AT&T Field, well above their season average of 3,639. It was a “Kids Eat Free” night in Chattanooga, where anyone 12-and-under received a free hot dog and soda, but it also was a picture-perfect evening for baseball.

The Pensacola Blue Wahoos, which host one of the best views in the minors, finished second for the evening by drawing 3,506 fans—slightly below their 4,272 average but a strong showing for a Monday. It was a “Military Monday” at Blue Wahoos Stadium, which features discounted tickets and ceremonies honoring members of the military.

Since it was a quiet night last night, let’s get caught up on the season attendance leaders. Below is the attendance leaderboard for every full-season team, sorted by average attendance.
